Rosser Goodman is the Founder & CEO of TANŌ RISING FILM. A filmmaker and Hollywood domain expert with more than 20 years of experience, her distinguished perspective is a rare combination of hands-on production experience and executive leadership in story development and film distribution.
Rosser saw that the commercial model leaves exceptional screenplays behind because they are judged primarily through marketability and profit. She built TANŌ RISING FILM so
philanthropy greenlights the films the commercial system will not. Through Philanthropic Film Finance®, TANŌ gives benefactors the power to create catalytic change through
cinema.
Rosser began her professional career on an NBC television series co-produced by Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. She later founded Circle Content, with offices on the Paramount Studios lot, where she expanded her experience in story development, production, and film distribution.
She directed and produced the feature films Holding Trevor and Love or Whatever, both of which secured domestic and international distribution and screened at film festivals
worldwide. The Los Angeles Times praised her direction as “suspenseful and involving” and tinged with humor and pathos. Variety wrote that she "delivers a polished product with
solid tech values.” The Hollywood Reporter selected Rosser as one of Outfest’s “5 in Focus” directors.
Her career spans independent film, television, streaming, commercial production, film festivals, and distribution. Her work has appeared on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Apple, PBS, and
Revry, with professional experience that includes Disney, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, MTV, HBO Max, Peacock, Samsung, Toyota, Meta, and Chevron.
Rosser is a philanthropist, social entrepreneur, solutionist, memoirist, and private investor whose interests include real estate, alternative assets, and companies founded by women creating economic opportunity and measurable change.

She serves on the board of GreenLight Women and mentors emerging and mid-career creatives. She also advises organizations expanding access, opportunity, and representation in media, with particular attention to historically marginalized artists and communities.
She is the recipient of the Millennia Scope Entertainment Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to cinema and was selected for Take the Lead Women’s 50 Women Can Change the World in Media and Entertainment program.
She is a member of the Producers Guild of America, the Television Academy, NEXUS Global, and Impact Guild, and is a CSP alum. Rosser brings an uncommon understanding of the financial, philanthropic, and creative worlds to conversations about legacy, influence, and cinema.
