Rosser Goodman is the Founder and CEO of TANŌ RISING FILM — a film and television director, producer, writer, Hollywood domain expert, philanthropist, and social entrepreneur with more than 20 years in studio, streaming, television, and independent film.
She began in episodic television with Steven Spielberg’s company, then founded Circle Content while holding offices on the Paramount Studios lot. Her distinguished perspective is a rare combination of hands-on production experience and executive leadership in story development and film distribution.
Rosser’s feature film work includes Holding Trevor and Love or Whatever, both acquired for domestic and international distribution. Her feature films have played festivals worldwide. Known as an actor’s director, Rosser brings a deep understanding of character, performance, and audience connection to the practical realities of getting films made and seen.
Her credits, productions, and client work include Netflix, Hulu, Apple, Amazon, Disney, Lionsgate, NBCUniversal, MTV, HBO Max, Peacock, Samsung, Toyota, Chevron, and other major entertainment companies and brands.
Her professional recognition and selected programs include the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, HBO Comedy Challenge, Disney Entertainment Television Directing Program, Sundance Labs, Take The Lead’s 50 Women Can Change the World in Media & Entertainment, and The Millennia Scope Entertainment Foundation — Lifetime Achievement Award.
Across her career, Rosser has centered representation, access, and opportunity for historically marginalized artists and communities. She mentors emerging and mid-career creatives and advises organizations dedicated to expanding access in media.

Rosser built TANŌ RISING FILM around a cause-first path for benefactors to advance what matters through cinema. TANŌ begins with the benefactor’s cause, then identifies one carefully vetted, production-ready screenplay aligned with it. With screenplay and filmmaker alignment in place, one benefactor fully finances one scripted feature film centered on that cause.
